We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Oncology Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our specialized cancer care team. Weekly Gross Pay: $2,01800
Weekly Taxable Pay: $600.00
Non-taxable Weekly: $1,418.00
Minimum 2 Years' experience in LPN ONCOLOGY:
Genie Healthcare is currently seeking experienced LPN ONCOLOGY to fill an opening place located in Rapid City, SD for $50.45/hr. (Taxed+ nontaxed)
Requirements of LPN ONCOLOGY:
● Must have AHA BLS.
● Must have a valid state SD License or Compact license.
● Must have at least 1.5 years of experience as an LPN ONCOLOGY
● 1 year must be in Oncology and must be current experience

Responsibilities of LPN ONCOLOGY:
Shift: - 10 Hours Days
Shift Details: 7.00 am to 5.30 PM
40 hours/week. (4*10)
13-week contract
Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients, including medication administration, IV infusion, and symptom management.
Assist with patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
Support chemotherapy administration and manage related procedures following strict aseptic technique and safety protocols.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
Educate patients and their families on treatment processes, medication use, side effect management, and discharge instructions.
Monitor for signs of acute pain, infection, or adverse reactions; respond promptly to emergencies such as airway management or ventilator issues.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure accurate medical documentation in accordance with healthcare standards.
Assist with triage assessments for urgent concerns and coordinate referrals for specialized services like hospice or memory care when appropriate.
Qualifications
Valid LPN license with current licensure in the relevant state or jurisdiction.
Proven experience in oncology nursing, including chemotherapy administration and IV infusion techniques.
Critical care experience preferred, especially within ICU or Level I/II trauma center settings.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate documentation.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and CPT coding for procedures.
Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring dementia or Alzheimer's care.
Strong assessment skills coupled with the ability to handle complex cases involving pain management and infection control.
Excellent communication skills for patient education, team collaboration, and family support in high-pressure environments such as emergency rooms or urgent care settings.
